We received complimentary services and/or compensation for our visit and review, however the opinions, thoughts, and amazing photos are all our own.
We just landed after a seemingly never-ending 31 hours of flying, and were excited to check-in at the Langham Place in New York. Right on Fifth Avenue, its located in an ideal location between Bryant Park and the Empire State Building, ideal for sightseeing and shopping.
Checking in was a breeze, and when we walked into the room, we were in awe. Keep in mind, we have stayed at some of the most beautiful, opulent hotels in the world. We picked our jaws up off the ground, put our phones on the chargers, and proceeded on a tour of our suite.
Fruit and sweets galore awaited us in the kitchen, along with a sweet welcome note from the staff. Congratulations?! Yes, we tied the knot in South Africa right before arriving, but that’s another blog post altogether.
After snacking on a dozen macaroons, half of a pound of chocolate, and what seemed like an entire produce department, we relaxed watching TV in the giant soaking tub.
After some rest and relaxation, wine was in order, and so was room service. I mean you HAVE TO put this kitchen and living room to use, right?!
After eating our way into a coma and and beyond exhaustion, we did a few loads of laundry in our very own Miele washer and dryer. (They even provide detergent!) This came in SO handy because we were running out of clean clothes to wear after a few long weeks on the road. After that, and we went to bed in their amazingly comfy Swedish Duxiana beds, where we slept in until check-out time the next day.
We wish we had more time to fully enjoy the hotel, especially a chance to dine at Ai Fiori, where renowned Chef Michael White’s cuisine celebrates the Italian and French Riviera. They also have a full fitness center, where you can even request a personal trainer. We were too tired to try it all. Time to head back to Los Angeles until the next adventure.Did we mention when you book certain suites (like ours) you get a personal driver?! Heck yes! Next time we are in New York, no question that we will be staying at the Langham Place again.
