Fit Girls Guide – 28 Day Jumpstart

As you know, we have been on a journey to a healthier lifestyle. As I scrolled through Instagram I came across an account for @FitGirlsWorldWide and the 28 day Jumpstart this weekend. Grocery lists, meal plans, workout plans, a HUGE support group and fun?! Sign me up! It’s only $24.99, less than most gym memberships. All the workouts are designed to do at home with no equipment needed, and the meal plans are designed to be able to use substitutions depending on your eating habits, likes and dislikes.

We added one thing that made it VERY successful for us. When we didn’t like a receipe, we made a mason jar salad instead. We used theseBall Jar Mouth Pint Jars with Lids and Bands, Regular, Set of 12 ) and made a salad in advance for everyday as a backup plan.

They have a separate account on @FitGirlVideos showing lots of workouts as well. I bought the eBook right away, and it was delivered to my email within minutes.

We skipped through to the grocery list for Week 1, and went shopping. This is our haul:

We bought nearly everything for the Week 1 menu, except apples. I forgot them. We spent about $130 dollars on everything. This is for 2 people so budget for about $60 dollars if you are just shopping for yourself.

If you are brave enough to post before and after photos (you can blur or crop out your head) they have a contest! You can create a new Instagram account just for this challenge and overall fitness, and make sure to use the hashtags #FitGirlsGuide #28DayJumpstart #LetsDoThis when posting photos. They recommend creating a name like “FitGirl_yournamehere”. When you search “FitGirl” on Instagram, tons of people participating show up, and the support you will get is amazing.

After the first week and flying through the ingredients, we found that if we stuck to the workouts and kept our portion sizes small, it worked! So we found THIS company, Hello Fresh that is so awesome! They delivery full meals to your door, with every single ingredient you will need, plus step by step instructions for each meal. We use the Classic box (meat version) but there is also a vegetarian option. Try it out, this is a $40 off coupon for your account.

The portions and meals are all created by a dietician and are balance and high protein and low carb and low fat.

For the record, we are not being paid to promote Fit Girls Guide, I just think for $25 bucks, what do you have to lose? You would spend a ton more on a personal trainer, nutrition program and gym membership.

We tried the fridge oats this morning. I made them wrong. I used steel cut oats instead of rolled oats and they came out very hard. I found this recipe too, which sounds delicious! But we have stuck to the Hello Fresh boxes and love them and have been losing weight and getting in shape.
